Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Prototypo Lab for the Noor iOS app, its widgets and the website at noor.prototypolab.com (together, “Noor”). By downloading or using Noor you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Noor.

Licence to use Noor

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Noor on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Standard EULA and the App Store usage rules. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where the law allows it.

Noor includes open-source software, such as the Adhan prayer-time library and the Amiri typeface (SIL Open Font Licence), used under their respective licences.

Prayer times and Qibla

Prayer times are calculated from astronomical formulas and the method you choose. Different authorities use different conventions, and results can differ by a few minutes from your local timetable. Times near the poles are approximations.

The Qibla direction depends on your device’s compass, which can be affected by magnets, metal and calibration.

Noor is a helpful tool, not a religious authority. Please confirm times and direction with your local mosque or religious authority, especially for Ramadan and Eid.

Notifications

Adhan notifications rely on iOS scheduling and may be delayed or silenced by Focus modes, Low Power Mode, device settings or iOS limits. Do not rely on Noor as your only reminder.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Noor in a way that breaks the law, infringes others’ rights, or interferes with the app or website.

Intellectual property

The Noor name, icon, design and content belong to Prototypo Lab, except for third-party components credited above. These terms don’t grant you any rights to our trademarks.

Disclaimer of warranties

Noor is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Prototypo Lab is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on prayer times, Qibla direction or notifications. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and termination

We may update Noor or these terms. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them. We may stop offering Noor at any time. You can stop using it at any time by deleting the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This doesn’t take away consumer protections you have under the laws of your country.
